This is a lacquered curry spoon made by lacquer artist Ito Hiroko.

Mr. Ito, who mainly works as a lacquer artist, made lacquered spoons that are an introduction to lacquerware. Lacquerware is often thought to be difficult to maintain, but of course it can be used for a long time and is suitable for everyday use.

Not only is it beautiful, it is light in the wood and has little noise when hit on a plate, making it perfect for eating curry.

I would be happy if Ito's desire to use more lacquerware as a catalyst for us to bring out this curry poon.
